Send/Receive up to 3000 telex, fax and email messages a day using the most reliable bulk
message handling system available - Message Director.

Over 2000 blue chip companies in 30 countries rely on Message Director at the core of their
messaging strategy.

Message Director is the most reliable business communications package available. It has to be as clients who send up to 3000 messages per day cannot survive otherwise. Many other software companies choose MDS for their application engine knowing the need for reliability.

Message Director Features

Message Director Benefits

Direct PC to Fax, Telex and E-MAIL Increased throughput on fewer lines
Broadcast by Bimcom, Comtext and Mercury   Refilling provides access to hundreds of lines
Message Queues and Logs Easy message progress tracking
Automatic dial and redial Eliminates waiting by machines
Short and group codes Stores all frequently used numbers
Automatic archive facility Saves and retrieves old messages

Examples:

- An international bank has installed MDS in several countries to receive telexes on stand alone PCs. These telexes are automatically forwarded via leased line to their head office in the UK for centralised testing and funds transfer.

- A reservation company relies on MDS to send over 2500 faxes per day to hotels throughout the UK.

- A bunker broker has used MDS for 10 years to send and receive fax, telex and Mercury messages for ship refueling.

- An oil company uses MDS (telex and Comtext) for trading crude oil using our Pager system to receive alerts during out of hours working.

- A shipping company sends hundreds of faxes a week from their database to inform clients of their liner schedules.

Message Director was first developed by Colin Brown in 1982 and was known then as Microtelex. Colin, working in conjunction with Paul Cawthorne, developed the system from just single user telex to become multi-user with fax, leased line and email via a modem to Bimcom, Comtext and Multi Message.
The system has had many other names such as Protelex, Messenger and Enhanced Messaging System over the years.
Any customer with these older versions should contact P&G Associates to discuss a possible system upgrade.
P&G estimate that there are now over three thousand installed sites throughout the world.
